Splendor

Splendor lies behind the doors

Splendor lies behind the doors of our lives

We got freedom

We got limitations

We got friends we got

We got expectations

We got jobs and flags to wave with

Can’t go beyond our politics

We got summer

We got meditation

We got kids we got

The lord for salvation

We got shrinks and obligations

What we have

Is what we’re made off

Splendor lies

Behind the doors

Of our lives

Blind leading the blind

Blind leading the blind

Splendor lies

Behind the doors

Of our lives

Who knows what we’ll find

Who knows what we’ll find

We got lovers

We got nonfulfilment

We got promises

And then again we break them

We got pride

We got opinions

Leading us further from splendor
