The Death of Death

Over the counter

And out through the broke door

Hotwire

Joyride

Now that everyone's dead

You feel alive

Now you even like the sunrise

You can't avoid your man's eyes

You even like the way

Now you're living at the edge of

Trying to avoid the stench of

The ones who've gone

Under the canopy

And under the influence

Over the feeling of

Separateness

Now you even like the sunrise

You can't avoid your man's eyes

You even like the way

Now

Living in the forest

Waiting for the last sheep

To drop like flies

Now you found a

Brand new way of

Being grateful

In such a place

Without no trace

Of set or setting

With your finger

Making laps around your navel

In the last rays of sun

And of life's setting

The death of death

Is not quite exterminated

Or emigrated as of yet

You've found revenge

Dragging back in

Your mother's soul

Who's on the way to heaven now

The death of death

The death of death
