You see a boardwalk that leads

To the edge of reality

Seamlessly infinite

It's a burden

To understand

What any of it means

As the waves erode the path

You are swept away

And met by the ocean's wrath

You are the reminder

Of who I am:

Shattered dreams

The clouds are falling

To the Earth and left

Holes in the sky

Leaking scorching-hot steam

The fog pushes

Me into the waves

And I'm scrambled each

And every other way

I open my eyes

And see us drifting away

I try to grab your hand

And you drag me

Into the darkness with pain

But I get lifted by wings of air

Saving me from your despair
