Midnight window, lights down low

City breathin’ soft in a silver glow

Curtains swayin’ like they know my name

I sit still, but my mind’s in flame

Cars hum faint in the distant street

While I trace my past in the window's heat

Reflections blur with a midnight sigh

I see myself in the glass and sky

Thoughts like fog on a rainy pane

Soft and slow, never quite the same

I don’t speak — I just let it go

Watchin’ life from my midnight window
