MERMAID - 山下達郎 (やました たつろう)
Lyrics by：Alan O'Day
Composed by：Tatsuro Yamashita
Long ago but it seems like yestreday
It happened the strangest way my first love affair
Summer day I'm swimming alone in the ocean
When suddenly I got a notion that someone was watching
And I turned to see who was there
I saw this beautiful lady beautiful lady
Only a heartbeat away from me
Two seashell earrings were all that she wore
She was smiling and saying to me
Come away I'll show you my home in the ocean
And stranger if you get a notion that you'd like to love me
Well just do what you feel do what you feel oh
Mermaid mermaid I want you but I'm afraid
Part fish part girl I don't fit your world
Mermaid mermaid I want you but I'm afraid
Part fish part girl oh
She put her sweet arms around me sweet arms around me
Ever so gently she pulled me down
Next thing I knew was the soft ocean floor
And the first taste of love that I found
Let me stay I'll live in your home in the ocean
I'll give you my love and devotion
But sadly she told me you must go back and find
A girl of your kind
So I left her behind now the ocean reminds me
Mermaid mermaid it's true love that we made
Part fish part girl I still miss your world
Mermaid mermaid it's true love that we made
Part fish part girl I still miss your world
Mermaid mermaid it's true love that we made
Part fish part girl I still miss your world
Mermaid mermaid it's true love that we made
Part fish part girl I still miss your world
Mermaid mermaid it's true love that we made
