The Charm

It's wearing off

Yet it's teeth are still firmly buried in her skin

Taking time to understand not everything's so easy

So easy to comprehend what he's done to you

Gaslighting truth

Fixated on his ugly scribbling

Conjured up to taste the dust

Of his pharaoh's scarab running

Disguised, hiding, lurking the charm, hidden behind Medusa's eyes

He's tempting the fates

His plate's so full and wonderfully brimming

And just for you he turns his knuckles blue

And he can't help but chew the fat from the rat

That decided to break him in two

Conjured up to taste the dust

Of his pharaoh's scarab running

Disguised, hiding, lurking the charm, hidden behind Medusa's eyes
