There’s a quiet place behind our home…
We planted seeds when I was small,
You said, “One day, they’ll stand so tall.”
I didn’t know what roots could do,
But they grew deep — like me and you.
Years went by, and storms would come,
But flowers bloomed beneath the sun.
Every petal, every shade,
Reminds me of the love we made.
Now when I dig the soil, I find,
Your hands still working close to mine.
The garden we made still breathes your care,
Your laughter lingers in the air.
The seeds of love you softly sowed,
Still bloom wherever I may go.
I teach my kids to plant the same,
To honor life, to speak your name.
And when they ask, “Where did this grow?”
I say, “From love you’ll one day know.”
The seasons change, but roots remain,
Through joy, through tears, through wind and rain.
The garden we made, it never fades,
It’s built from light that love has laid.
And when my time comes, they’ll still find,
Your heart in every vine entwined.
