Away They Went With Weeping

Away they went with weeping, carring the seed

Back, they came back singing with their sheaves

They who sow in tears shall reap with laughter

They who sow in tears shall sing

WHen Yahweh brought Zion's captives home

At first it seemed like a dream

Then our mouths filled with laughter

And our lips with song

Away they went with weeping, carring the seed

Back, they came back singing with their sheaves

They who sow in tears shall reap with laughter

They who sow in tears shall sing

Even the pagans started talking

About the marvels the Lord has done

What marvels He did for us

And how we were glad

Away they went with weeping, carring the seed

Back, they came back singing with their sheaves

They who sow in tears shall reap with laughter

They who sow in tears shall sing

From bondage Yahweh, deliver us

As streams in a desert land

Those who went out sowing in tears

They shall sing as they reap

Away they went with weeping, carring the seed

Back, they came back singing with their sheaves

They who sow in tears shall reap with laughter

They who sow in tears shall sing
