She came in like summer static, barefoot in the street
Said, “I love like wildfires — I don’t burn, I eat.”
Her eyes were lit with mercury, her smile a loaded gun
And every time I blinked, I swore she’d turn to run
She called me her religion, said my voice could calm the sea
Then vanished for a week to flirt with ghosts and LSD
Came back at 4AM with tears and bloodied wrists
Said, “You made me feel abandoned, now kiss me through the mist.”
We danced between extremes: obsession, rage, regret
She said, “If you ever leave me, I’ll make sure you forget.”
She comes in knives, not flowers
Screaming “Love me!” then “Devour!”
One minute I’m her savior, the next I’m made of hate
She carves her name into my skin, then sobs it’s all too late
She’d beg me not to touch her, then cry if I refused
Accuse me of betrayal for a text she misused
Her laugh could light a funeral, her silence flood a town
I never knew what version of her wanted me around
"I hate you, don’t you leave me!" scratched into her throat
And every word we shared became a suicide note
“You’re the toxic one,” she’d whisper, “You manipulate and lie”
While hiding razors in her purse and daring me to try
“You never really loved me,” “You’re not who I thought”
But when I tried to leave, she said, “I’ll die if you’re not”
She comes in knives, not kisses
Her love is made of stitches
She loves in red and black and bruises made of guilt
And if you try to fix her, you’re the one she’ll have rebuilt
I lost my job, my friends, my mind, beneath her crashing waves
She made me call her queen and then accused me of her cage
I gave her every piece of me, she fed them to the void
Now I sleep with headphones on, to not hear her destroyed
They say she's getting better now — a therapist, new meds
She texts me “Miss you sometimes,” like I’m not still half-dead
And me? I just repeat her name, like thunder without rain:
“She loved me like a horror film — and left me with the stain.”
