Entering the woods

Upon entering the wood, your eyes are immediately drawn to an incredible sea of cobalt blue; stretching out in front of you as far as the eye can see. As you gaze upon the vast swathe of bluebells swaying gently in the breeze, as if in a dance, your eyes begin to feel extremely tired; causing your breathing to become shallower and your body to feel even more relaxed. You breathe in and a feeling of tranquillity begins to abide. Your mind becoming free from disturbance.

You hear a gentle tapping in the distance…. A solitary woodpecker in search of his early morning meal. Then the sound of the trees… as the wind causes their leaves to softly rustle high above your head.

As you slowly make your way through the dappled lit wood..of oak and alders.., the singing of the birds fills the air….Nuthatches, Song Thrushes, Mistle Thrushes and Jays. The more calmly we listen, the more we hear their delicate songs.
