They say I’m tough I never break
That I survive whatever ache
But strength becomes a heavy chain—
When no one sees your silent pain
I hold it all I smile and nod
But even rocks can beg their God
I want to cry and not explain
To fall without the crown of strain
But strength is not in staying tall—
It’s knowing when to feel it all
To ask for help to speak to fall—
Is strength that’s soft and real and raw
So if I say “I’m fine ”then pause
Don’t praise me more—just hear the cause
I’ve been the strong one far too long—
And need a place where I belong
