Mist shrouds the distant hill
Dawn stains the rice fields red and still
On the bank I tip -toe stand
Watch cloud -like sails at river's land
Fishing boats come back in line
Just like last year's goodbye in decline
Dusk lights up the mountain haze
Footprints on sand lost in wind's maze
Paper kites above willow shores still raise
Moon hangs low stars shine bright
I send this kite to show my plight
How high my hopes soar for your sight
Rain veils the land thoughts hold me tight
When will we meet again
Sleepless nights stars clear and vast
Snows have melted yet maples last
Moss in crimson deep and sweet
In blue gown I still linger here to greet
Waiting by the worn door ring
Bamboo basket filled with moonlight's fling
Life's joys and sorrows nature's game
I call your name to the morning's claim
Do you hear
Moon hangs low stars shine bright
I send this kite to show my plight
How high my hopes soar for your sight
Rain veils the land thoughts hold me tight
When will we meet again
By the desk I keep my watch
Kite on the fence still takes its match
Memories fade like petals dry
Gain and loss nature's symphony
Warm and cold play harmony
Moon hangs low stars shine bright
I send this kite to show my plight
How high my hopes soar for your sight
Rain veils the land thoughts hold me tight
When will we meet again
Time's change I can't well see
Years flow like sand beneath me
Sails drift as lamps grow dim
Between wheat and rice seasons swim
I wait where wounds find light's end
Hoping emptiness will mend
Answer when will we meet again
Spring to autumn winter's breath
Four seasons dance of life and death
When will you walk through this misty space
Hills in mist like in old -time's grace
When will we meet again
When will we meet again
