I’m like a barrister, with a series of cases

There is depth within you, not just faces

Puerile, meaningless words annoy

Reducing your treatise to a toy

Is there efficacy in this way to be?

I don't contemplate or demonstrate

You think it's weird

To a better place. A place and time

Where the photographs sat and did the work for you

Where the people learned that they could not ignore you

There was a time when we could be one voice

The chorus wasn't porous, it was dry and of choice

The lines of the lyrics spoke with soul

And the unconscious minds had a one voice goal

There were happy people and happy places

Ignorant lies yet smiling faces

Yin and yang

There were ideas that had yet to blossom

And the truth and the process getting ready to rock them

There were adequate homes and tell-tale notions

Places to dream and magic potions

There were fields made of chocolate

And candy floss trees

There were wishes granted

And an absence of sleaze

and absinthe

There were people giving their world's best

Making rhymes out of paper

You can keep the rest

It was a wrong lie

I didn't want to be shy
