Pick up every particle of dust and then we’ll
cluster up, spin it up into a
living memory of all the things we’ve ever heard
and all the things we know
and all of the things that we’ve seen
A web of arteries, we’re
wired up, tied to it all
Saturn around and round again
We’re all caught up in a single thread
We are the filament
Cosmic reverie
So so so so small in the face of all the
rest of the universe
What if we were just debris?
To float around around around
We’ll hold hands and orbit out and out and out
Saturn around and round again
We’re all caught up in a single thread
We are the filament
Shards of a consciousness
If we weave it all together,
would we ever be apart again?
A wayward moon will still come home
‘cause gravity knows and it holds us all in its hands
And among all of the stars we dance
Sa-turn around and round again
We’re all caught up in a single thread
And so so so small in the face of all the things we’ll never ever see
And if we
reach far enough out into the universe
it’s all sewn together
Just like the constellations
Draw rings in the sky
Through the rings we will fly
Jupiter’s got nothing on
the strands of the world that we’re running on
We all share the filament
