do you realize how late it was

when we hooked up last night?

cassette tape playing opera songs

auto flipped to the b-side

this was supposed to give me life

now i'm buried in your cemetery

& you still had shoes on

i felt like i needed you close to me

so i scooted in

sitting cross legged style

i don't remember the words i said

before you kissed my lips

but everything after that

was weird eye contact

& a tangle of limbs
