Still Not Enough
I gave my heart, I gave my time
Crossed the line to make it right
Held my breath, I bit my tongue
Carried more than I ever should’ve done
Smiled through storms, danced through pain
Tried so hard to stay the same
But every mirror tells me lies
I’m tired of wearing this disguise
They say I should be proud somehow
But it still doesn’t feel like now...
Why do I still feel not enough?
When I gave the world, gave all my love
Climbed so high just to fall
And no one saw the cost at all
I tried my best, I swear I did
But it still feels like I’m the kid
Who’s always reaching, never tough
No matter what, it’s not enough
Wrote my worth in empty lines
Counted flaws a thousand times
Every “yes” and every “no”
Still left me standing in the cold
They say, “You’re strong, you’ve come so far”
But they don’t see the quiet scars
I gave it all, I gave it true
But still feel like I’m losing you
I keep on running toward the light
But something whispers,"Not quite right"
Why do I still feel not enough?
When I gave the world, gave all my love
I showed up when I was weak
But silence is the praise I keep
I tried my best, I bled my name
Still no one stays, it feels the same
And though I’m brave, and though I’m tough
It always hurts — still not enough
If giving everything means nothing left
Then who am I trying to impress?
I just want peace behind my eyes
Not this war I can’t define
Why do I still feel not enough?
When I’ve carried more than most could touch
Every tear, a quiet scream
That I still don’t know what “worthy” means
I gave my best, I gave it true
But I can’t seem to break through
Maybe I am… maybe I was...
But it still feels like...
Still not enough...
Still not... enough...
