Rainbow After

The last cloud drifts across the blue

The world is washed, the sky is new

And there it arches, bold and bright

A bridge of colors, pure delight

A promise that the storm is through

Rainbow after the rain

You wash away the pain

Every color tells a story

Of the rain and all its glory

Rainbow after the rain

I'll never be the same

Red for the fire I felt inside

Orange for the warmth I couldn't hide

Yellow for the hope that stayed

Green for the growth the rain has made

Blue for the tears I've cried

Rainbow after the rain

You wash away the pain

Every color tells a story

Of the rain and all its glory

Rainbow after the rain

I'll never be the same

And where the sky was grey and stark

Now shines a light in every arc

A sign that even in the dark

There's beauty waiting to embark

Rainbow...

After the rain...

I see you...
