City of Loneliness

I get lost in the crowds,

Like a sea, a flood of people.

Loneliness in my eyes, somewhere deep down,

Silence in my heart, like the desert inside me.

My steps echo, silently in the streets,

I am always alone among the crowds.

My eyes search for you, behind every face,

Cannot find you, get lost, in a deep void.

I cannot sleep all night long, thoughts surround me,

I remain all alone among the crowds.

You are not with me, silent as a shadow,

My heart trembles in the cold wind of loneliness.

Days come and go, crowds flow by,

But I am always alone in the same place.

In the middle of a storm, like a small leaf,

I am blown away, all alone among the crowds.
