Saturday City Cruise

Rolled out late

With my front wheel bent

Corner deli bag

And a shirt half-wet

Taxi brake hiss

At the red light stop

I coast through the block

Like the day won't drop

Hands on the grips

Heart in the breeze

No place to be

But where I please

Saturday, take me slow

Let the whole wide block just glow

Pedal, pedal, let me go

Easy like a stone in a stream

Saturday, take me slow

Got nowhere to be, you know

Pedal, pedal, let it roll

I'm just cruising through the scene (Through the scene)

Kids in the park

Kicking dust by the bench

Old man nods once

From a paint-flaked fence

Pizza box square

In my basket frame

Sun on the glass

Of the corner name

Loose in my bones

No need to race

I let the sidewalk

Set the pace

Saturday, take me slow

Let the whole wide block just glow

Pedal, pedal, let me go

Easy like a stone in a stream

Saturday, take me slow

Got nowhere to be, you know

Pedal, pedal, let it roll

I'm just cruising through the scene (Through the scene)

I cross that bridge

Where the river bends

A bus rolls by

And the world just sends

One long breath

Through the open air

I laugh out loud

Like I got nowhere

Saturday, take me slow

Let the whole wide block just glow

Pedal, pedal, let me go

Easy like a stone in a stream

Saturday, take me slow

Got nowhere to be, you know

Pedal, pedal, let it roll

I'm just cruising through the scene (Through the scene)

Keep the chain low

Let the curb slide by

Saturday stays

In the corner of my eye

Pedal, pedal, let me go

Easy like a stone in a stream
