No Heavy Shadow

Phone screen dark upon the floor

Cold light fading at the door

Your keys left sitting by the glass

We knew this silence wouldn't last

I pull my jacket to my skin

Step out before the dawn comes in

I let you go, I feel alive

I let you go into the night

Lighter than I have ever been

Warm air rushing on my skin

I let you go, I set us free

No heavy shadow over me

Watch the stars begin to rise

I let you go, I feel alive

Empty seat, an open night

Red lights running out of sight

Cold wind blowing through the glass

I leave the weight inside the past

The open road is wide ahead

I hear my heart beat loud instead

I let you go, I feel alive

I let you go into the night

Lighter than I have ever been

Warm air rushing on my skin

I let you go, I set us free

No heavy shadow over me

Watch the stars begin to rise

I let you go, I'm finally free

Let you go, let you go

Feel alive
