War in the Heavens

Darkness rises, shadows creep

But the Lion roars and the strong don't sleep

Every arrow falls, every demon shakes

At the sound of His name, every stronghold breaks

They said we're weak, but the blood makes strong

Been armed with the truth, I've been armed all along

Suit of armor, forged in flame

By the Word of the Lord, I'll never be the same

I hear the call, I won't turn away

The battle is the Lord's, and He wins today!

War in the heavens, fight on the earth!

The cross is my weapon, the blood is my worth!

Chains are falling, the grave's undone—

Victory's written, the war is won!

Serpent's whisper, venomous lies

But I've got fire burning in my eyes

Every scheme fails, every curse is gone

When the saints rise up with a battle song

Not flesh and blood, not sword and steel

But a power they can't ever kill

Every scar is proof of grace

Every wound declares His place

I hear the call, I won't turn away

The battle is the Lord's, and He wins today!

War in the heavens, fight on the earth!

The cross is my weapon, the blood is my worth!

Chains are falling, the grave's undone—

Victory's written, the war is won!

No fear! No shame!

The Word still reigns!

No chains! No grave!

The King still saves!

The night is loud, but the dawn still breaks

Every fear will fall, every wall will quake

I'll stand unshaken, I won't retreat

For the Lord of Hosts has won the seat

The war is raging, but the Lamb has won!

The grave is empty, death is done!

Lift your banner, raise it high!

Christ is risen, glorified!

War in the heavens, fight on the earth!

The cross is my weapon, the blood is my worth!

Chains are falling, the grave's undone—

Victory's written, the war is won!

Hell can't hold us, sin can't reign!

By His power, we proclaim!

"The war is real but so is the King"
