###Verse 1
Bows of red tied on my holiday dress
You fussed and adjusted with such tenderness
We whispered secrets huddled by the firelight
Shared dreams of tomorrow through the cold night
You lent me your sweater when the wind did blow
Said “Stay close little one don’t you go ”
We made paper snowflakes cut with care
Hung them high where the Christmas lights flare
###Pre-Chorus
Your sweater hangs soft in my closet still
The paper snowflakes on the windowsill
I hum the tune you used to sing
Feeling your presence in everything
###Chorus
To my beloved elder sister in heaven above
This Christmas wish is filled with my love
You’re shining bright in the starry glow
Your smile’s the warmth that chases the cold
Merry Christmas dear one pure and true
Your love’s the light that guides me through
###Verse 2
You taught me to braid my hair so fine
Said “It’s all about patience one step at a time ”
We baked sugar cookies shaped like stars
Licked the bowl clean till our laughter bars
You defended me when the world felt tough
Said “I’m here for you through every rough ”
We danced around the tree to carols soft and low
A sister’s bond that time can’t overthrow
###Pre-Chorus
Your sweater hangs soft in my closet still
The paper snowflakes on the windowsill
I hum the tune you used to sing
Feeling your presence in everything
###Chorus
To my beloved elder sister in heaven above
This Christmas wish is filled with my love
You’re shining bright in the starry glow
Your smile’s the warmth that chases the cold
Merry Christmas dear one pure and true
Your love’s the light that guides me through
###Bridge
I know you’re there with angels by your side
Singing sweet carols through heaven’s wide
You’re not gone just a whisper away
In the scent of cookies in the carol’s sway
Someday we’ll dance beneath that heavenly tree
Till then your love’s my constant decree
###Chorus
To my beloved elder sister in heaven above
This Christmas wish is filled with my love
You’re shining bright in the starry glow
Your smile’s the warmth that chases the cold
Merry Christmas dear one pure and true
Your love’s the light that guides me through
###Outro
Merry Christmas sister my heart’s with you still
Your love lives on in every little thrill
