Hello sweet children! Meet our little explorer Lily.
Today she holds a round globe to travel our big Earth without leaving her room.

A straight thin axis runs from pole to pole for free.
Top is cold arctic with the fluffy polar bear,

We call these cold lands polar, chilly and grand,
Middle equator splits our globe with a dividing band,
North hemisphere and south hemisphere stand side‑by‑side,
Our Earth's special zones open our curious eyes!
Northeast winds blow and northwest clouds float high,
Southeast sunshine glows, southwest breezes pass by.
Eastern and oriental ancient towns stand tall,
Warm southern lands below the equator wall.
Axis, pole and globe, directions we know,
Near or far wherever we go.
Equator, hemisphere, arctic snow,
Our big wonderful globe we love so!
Adjacent houses fill our small vicinity,
Suburb homes line roads in our local scenery.
Farther out to outskirts, we find rural farmland ground,
Green fields and barns make happy peaceful sound.
These lands are close, easy for us to roam,
Lovely nearby places around our home!
Travel far away to lands that are distant,
Remote lonely places with very little existent.
Some wide empty ground becomes desolate,
While some far‑off rural farms still celebrate.
Whether close by home or lands far apart,
Every place on globe has its own special heart!
From axis to directions from near to far away.
geography helps us learn and play,
every land has stories every place has name
our big earth is never the same.
