[00:00.00]Take Time to Know Her (Live) - Percy Sledge
[00:06.21]Written by：S. Davis
[00:12.42]I found a woman
[00:17.08]I felt a truely love
[00:21.65]She was everything
[00:26.13]I'd ever been dreaming of
[00:29.87]But she was bad I didn't know it
[00:35.07]Her pretty smile never did show it
[00:39.37]All I knew is what I could see
[00:43.77]And I knew I wanted her for me
[00:47.37]Took her home to mama
[00:51.68]Mama wanna see my future bride
[00:55.61]Well she looked at us both
[00:59.76]And then she called me to her side
[01:02.59]She said son take time to know her
[01:08.77]It's not an overnight thing
[01:12.60]You take time to know her
[01:17.47]Please don't go rushin to do your thing
[01:21.91]But I didn't listen to my mama
[01:26.29]I went straight to the church
[01:31.13]I just couldn't wait
[01:32.60]To have a little girl of mine
[01:36.02]When I got off from work
[01:39.50]The preacher was there
[01:41.65]So was my future bride
[01:44.38]He looked at us both
[01:45.75]Then he called me to his side
[01:48.58]Take time to know her
[01:52.44]Is not an overnight fling
[01:56.56]It takes time to know her
[02:01.20]Please don't rush into this thing
[02:05.63]But it looked like every thing's
[02:07.97]Gonna turn out all right
[02:10.01]Then I came home
[02:11.22]A little early one night
[02:14.36]And there she was kissing on another man
[02:19.67]Now I know what mama meant
[02:21.30]She took me by the hand
[02:22.42]She said take time to know her
[02:27.48]Not an overnight fling
[02:31.30]It take time to know her
[02:35.83]Please don't go rushin to do your thing
[02:39.88]Bettter take time to know her
[02:44.46]Not an overnight fling
[02:48.68]Take time to know her
[02:52.95]Please don't go rushin to do your thing
[02:56.73]You better take time to know her
[03:01.49]It's not an overnight thing
[03:05.66]Take time to know her
[03:10.19]Please don't rush into this thing
