The Road I'm On - Mando Saenz
She left one day push come to shove
It hit me like a hand with a heavy glove
She grew tired of paying the price of my love
Something about the road i'm on
Well it took her a while but she took it to me
She headed out west with the redwood tree
We're hoping to find someone who won't be
Taking to the road i'm on
Oh i'm not sure where it's taking me now
Tired of being told that it's nowhere bound
Nothing quite as sweet as the sound
Of the same old song
Nothing behind me but the path that i took
Nothing on my mind but her one last look
Nothing down below me for tapping my foot
Nothing but the road i'm on
Oh west virginia don't be taking my hand
A steady girl never helped me find dry land
Just a broken heart the tears and the sand
Took me to the road i'm on
You'll find my way come hell or high noon
Not that my ways are gonna change much soon
Gonna curse the ground and howl at the moon
And keep it at the road i'm on
Oh not sure where it's taking me now
Tired of being told that it's nowhere bound
Nothing quite as sweet as the sound
Of the same old song
Nothing behind me but the path that i took
Nothing on my mind but her one last look
Nothing down below me for tapping my foot
Nothing but the road i'm on
Oh not sure where it's taking me now
Tired of being told that it's nowhere bound
Nothing quite as sweet as the sound
Of the same old song
Nothing behind me but the path that i took
Nothing on my mind but her one last look
Nothing down below me for tapping my foot
Nothing but the road i'm on
Nothing behind me but that path that i took
Nothing but the road i'm on
