If I told the truth, I'd make you cry

If I told you straight you'd want to die

I don't know why it feels so bad

To know the truth which makes one sad

But clears the road that lies ahead

There are many dangers that lurk upfront

To know them now avoids the brunt

Of fighting monsters in the dark

It's so easy now to build an ark

To carry us thru the raging flood

That comes to purify our blood

And save us from ourselves this day

Cause if we wait there's hell to pay

So let me whisper in your ear

Of things you'd just as soon not hear

But in knowing we can all be spared

If spaceship earth can be repaired

Together we can go so far

Together we can reach the stars

Together we can conquer death

So, let's get together before no one's left

To do the job that must be done

Together it will be such glorious fun
