Moon and Stars

Everything has got

To be official

We're treated like

We're nothing special

But it's essential

For us it's like sleep

Without it, we begin to weep

Forcing fish to climb trees

Our minds drift in the breeze

Ask a question

Prepare to freeze

Criticise with ease

You'll only be displeased

It's a short lease

Why hesitate to seize

We are the moon and stars

Our time is yet to pass

Your old ways won't last

Today or tomorrow

It'll all be ours

Begin your lives

Take the dive

Reach the other side

You can do more

Than just survive

Flick through your mind

One day you'll find

You missed

Your chance to redefine

Your life, your design

All out of line

Ran out of time

Before you saw the signs

With us you let

Yourself reminisce

Instead of this

You're quick to dismiss

Free your mind or step aside

Game over now

Doesn't time fly?

We are the moon and stars

Our time is yet to pass

Your old ways won't last

Today or tomorrow

It'll all be ours

Begin your lives

Take the dive

Reach the other side

You can do more

Than just survive
