Morning light through the window pane
Steam goes up from my cup again
People passing, calling out names
But everything slows when I hear the rain
I don’t need much to feel alright
Just a quiet song and a little time
Let the world rush by outside
I’ll stay here for a while
One more cup of coffee, let it cool down slow
Every little worry’s got nowhere to go
Just me and the rhythm, soft and low
One more cup of coffee, take it nice and slow
Pages turn but I don’t read
Lost in thoughts that don’t need speed
Your memory drifts in quietly
Like a melody that’s part of me
No big plans, no place to be
Just a chair and some company
If the day asks too much of me
I’ll smile and let it be
One more cup of coffee, let it cool down slow
Every little worry’s got nowhere to go
Just me and the rhythm, soft and low
One more cup of coffee, take it nice and slow
Maybe later I’ll chase the sun
Maybe later I’ll start to run
But right now, this moment knows
Exactly where I belong
One more cup of coffee, hold it in my hands
Let the silence say what words can’t
If the world gets loud, I already know
One more cup of coffee, and I’ll take it slow
Last sip, the morning’s gone
But this calm is still holding on
