I never thought I'd love again

He took two broken hearts
And stood them side by side
When the world said it was over
God said just wait and see
Because His plans are always greater
Than what we believe
We didn't meet in younger summers
When life was easy and dreams were new
We met after the heartbreak
After we both been through
And somehow all those lonely roads
Led exactly where they should
To a love built not on feelings alone
But on faith and something good
Well, Bravo says He makes all things new
And now we understand
Sometimes God saves your greatest blessing
For later than you planned
When God wrote our story
He redeemed the years we lost
He turned our pain into a testimony
And our sorrow into a cross
And if tomorrow never comes
We're still thanking Him for what He gave
Because He brought two weary souls together
And taught them how to love again
We thought our story was over
But God was still writing and talking cold
