Verse 1:
I've been living in this world of make believe
Heart shaped glasses that will filter what I see
Picture perfect but on paper we're burning
But that's just the type of book I love to read
Chorus:
Yeah it was fun to pretend
Getting dressed up
In our makeup
Like barbie and ken
Like it all could make sense
Fell in fake love
All in spite of
That white picket fence
It was fun to pretend
Hook:
Barbie and ken
La da da
La da da
Like barbie and ken
Verse 2:
I'm addicted to this virtual reality
Maybe one day i will learn my worth & leave
Probably not but we'll see
No more ration when my feelings supersede
When you're away I play you like a movie scene
Chorus:
Yeah it was fun to pretend
Getting dressed up
In our makeup
Like barbie and ken
Like it all could make sense
Fell in fake love
All in spite of
That white picket fence
It was fun to pretend
Hook:
Barbie and ken
La da da
La da da
Like barbie and ken
Like barbie and ken
Outro:
It was fun
It was fun
Like barbie and ken
