While I was writing - Rawkfist
Written by:Sabine Hillmer
I'm not a poet I just hear
A million phrases in my head
I spin around while people lie
So peacefully in their beds
Then in the candlelight I play
The piano and I hear my name
I'm coming home it's something like
A wonder that I can't explain
Do you expect a miracle you're waiting
While I'm craving for my gentle dream again
You were never there while I was writing
Will you protect the spirit in the end
It all felt so right 'till in my head to battle pain
Still I need it sounds and verses that won't fade away
I could never sacrifice my tears to win a senseless fight
I wouldn't know of beauty if I hadn't ever dared to cry
I slip into my shadow to become someone who writes a song
I've got no science so I need
The heart to be myself and strong
Do you expect a miracle you're waiting
While I'm craving for my gentle dream again
You were never there while I was writing
Will you protect the spirit in the end
It all felt so right 'till in my head to battle pain
Still I need it sounds and verses that won't fade away
Do you expect a miracle you're waiting
While I'm craving for my gentle dream again
You were never there while I was writing
Will you protect the spirit in the end
It all felt so right 'till in my head to battle pain
Still I need it sounds and verses that won't fade away
