Curtains closed, the lights don’t blink
I sit too still, I start to sink
The floor forgets I’m even here
I speak, but no one’s close to hear
Walls are cold, they know my weight
I’ve been quiet since yesterday
The mirror looks like someone else
I knock, but it just holds itself
I left a note in my own head
Said “come back soon,” but I forget
I’m here in skin, in bone, in breath
But it feels more like death than rest
I float through time, I fade in tone
I live in me like no one’s home
Ceiling speaks in subtle ticks
I blink too slow, the hours glitch
The air is thick with nothing new
A slow collapse in muted blue
The door’s not locked, I just don’t leave
Every thought is make-believe
If someone knocked, I’d stay in place
I don’t belong to any face
I left a note in my own head
Said “come back soon,” but I forget
I’m here in skin, in bone, in breath
But it feels more like death than rest
I float through time, I fade in tone
I live in me like no one’s home
Maybe I’m just passing through
A ghost in clothes, a shape in view
I breathe, I blink, I look the same
But nothing answers to my name
