Everfrost is a Finnish heavy metal band pioneering the genre ‘winter-metal’, a combination of northern power/symphonic metal with an anime-inspired, visual kei flavor.The band features vocalist Hew Wagner, guitarist Markus Laito and composer Benjamin Connelly (Snowkid) playing guitar and keyboards, plus drums in studio. The band’s upcoming album, ‘Blue Eyed Emotion’ combines manga with metal to tell the story of four friends living in a hidden town. A tragic but comforting tale of them coming together through loss, and how it has manifested within them as escapism while growing up. The lyrics have a modern poetic style blended with vivid imagery. They are notably layered, allowing the listener to see them self within but then be pulled into the story.The band’s visual appeal mixes manga and anime with gothic, horror and fantasy elements. A task undertaken by popular Japanese mangaka, Michiru Bokido who will illustrate the band’s upcoming album, giving the story and characters a soul.
