Songs For Rvers is an album based on the true life adventures of songwriters Mike Fitzsimons and Eliza Michaels, inspired by three long RV road trips across the USA between 2011 and 2013. The first from Phoenix Arizona to Los Angeles via San Francisco, The second from Miami Florida to New York via everywhere in between, and the third from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, down to Key West then back up to Atlanta via the Florida pan handle. The songs are about the people, places and sentiments of those who spend time on the road, meet up in RV parks and campgrounds, share life stories and have fun. Songwriters and 'L plate' RVers, Mike Fitzsimons and Eliza Michaels teamed up with music friends in Nashville, Tennessee to write and record the album, from fall 2013 until spring 2014. The album features some of the finest musicians in Nashville. The music reflects the different cultures of the places visited: some blues, some rock and even a nod towards reggae but with a strong country seam running down main street. Lead singer Scott Neubert is no stranger to the big stage. He has lived in Nashville playing music since 1991. He started in town playing guitar for Hal Ketchum and was his musical director for 8 years. After that, he worked as MD and guitarist for Trace Adkins for 3.5 years. He did many radio tours with Sony artists (including Tammy Cochran) and then played pedal steel guitar for Larry Gatlin and Tanya Tucker before pursuing studio work. Scott plays out in Nashville on the singer songwriter circuit, when he's not recording or producing at his own studio or at legendary Studio 19 (on 19th Avenue naturally).Songwriters Mike Fitzsimons and Eliza Michaels have worked with many artists over the years including the legendary Brazilbilly who hold court every weekend at Roberts Western World, in downtown Nashville.So this is volume 1, enjoy it!
