I'm from Hampton, VA and 29 years old. I guess you could call me an"ametuer" musician but I know there's a better word for people like me out there. I tend to be a naturally quiet individual and maybe a little misunderstood. But when I speak with my music, I think I make myself more clear. My main instrument is the drums/percussion, but also play bass, keyboard and baritone guitar. When in college, I majored in art but I think music has the overall edge for me. Even though I write my own stuff, I like to imitate what I hear from other bands and musicians, etc. I usually fit right in with anyone's jam at an open-mic and respect the purity of live, raw music. But at the same time, I am comfortable working on individual projects which is what makes up the CD"Else". I find myself influenced by many genres. Most influential are the Jimi Hendrix type feel, rock, bebop & fusion jazz. I tend to use my ideas and feelings of what I like musically and come up with raps as well. I've come from simply writing poetry, to putting my ideas into vocals. I grew up more liking rap than anything (Public Enemy, Easy E, Ice T, etc.). Now I just find myself liking so many diferent kinds of music. As a result, I emulate what I like and transform it into what I originally create as a musician (too much info ...I know). The tracks on"ELSE" are all written and recorded by yours truly (one-man-band type deal). So listen and I hope you feel it wise. Peace on
