This is not really a concept album although it does have a central theme. Like many people, we have an uneasy fascination for the theatre in all of its sometimes bizarre and slightly creepy forms. We enjoy the escapism of seeing a damn good show. We envy the freedom of the thespian to effortlessly break through the boundaries of reality and enter into other realms. The songs which make up this album reflect our impressions of the strange old art of Vaudeville and the rather odd and colourful characters who built their lives around it. Roll Up!
