Consisting of lead vocalist Sierra carey (17), guitarist Jerad Smith (18), bassist Brandon Barrows (17) and drummer Jessica Smith (13), The Resistance has a lot to offer. They write music that everyone can connect with; From falling in love to fighting in war. Their music takes influences from both classic and modern bands which makes for a unique sound. They've been labeled as the"Best Teen Band in the State of Maine" by Reindeer Records, and have played venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston. For The Resistance the band is their life, and their goal is to create music that everyone will love. They just want to be heard, because they know they have a powerful message. The message being that today's music can in fact have a purpose and a meaning. They want to speak to their fans, not just please them. They want to effect the lives and make a difference for the people who listen to the music they write. Most importantly, they want to stand up for music and for everyone who looks at music as their life. Music is the thing that has gotten this band through some of their hardest times, and this album goes to show that. The songs were all self-produced along with the artwork over the summer and fall of 2012. The Resistance knows through thick and thin, it will always be about the music.
