Music should make you feel and think a certain way. It should challenge you or make you do something. This album doesn't fall short of that. Some of us have been fortunate to listen to and witness some of the greatest music of our generation, so for an artist that should have some influence on your process. My usual boombap sample chopping which I love and never will abandon wasn't going to work for this project, so asking Shawn Hibbler for aid assistance was a no brainer; plus he's a talented musician that plays multiple instruments. The first few track were sent to me expeditiously, but then I challenged Hibbler, so the rest of the tracks came at a masterful pace, slow. You can't rush a good thing. Now two years later we have this project that we can share with the world. As a producer I could have handled the project from start to finish but I had my emcee hat on for this one. Boombap is the foundation with instrumentation that music enthusiasts can appreciate. This album has a conscience and doesn't lack lyrics, the subject matter will challenge you, the listener.
