Annis was born in Louisville, Ky and grew up on the"Ridge" in the back woods of Hampshire, TN. She has loved music and singing for as long as she can remember. Growing up near Nashville she was exposed to the very popular Randy's Record Mart and the Grand Ole Opry radio shows, which influenced her love for blues, gospel and country music. Her first public performance was at age nine when she sang Hank Williams' country classic,"your Cheatin' Heart," at a school play.But despite Annis' love for music and a desire to make singing her life's profession, early efforts to break into the industry would be hampered by personal life struggles. At one point it looked as if she would abandon the dream altogether. instead of the music industry, she focused her energies on the world of business and became a licensed real estate broker. She would later turn her attention to the social services field and earned a master's degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling. She currently enjoys a successful career as a Children's Social Worker providing services to abused and neglected children and their families.Along the way, Annis also became a born again Christian and says"the experience transformed my life.""The struggles of the past are"under my feet.""I have finally learned to recognize and walk in the calling that God has ordained for my life."Annis regularly sings at weddings, Christian women's conferences and community events in and around the Los Angeles area. Annis is a spirited praise and worship singer/songwriter. She has a uniquness to her voice that people are drawn to. Her singing is a balm to the spirit bringing a message of hope to saints and sinners alike.
