The album 'Crab Boil' is the culmination of many years of song writing and performing by drummer Kraig Wright and guitarist Zach Taylor. When it came time to name the album, it was natural to name it after the best seafood meal there is. The name also works well with the track 'Crabman' which musically describes the misadventures of a lab technician who only wanted a meal of crab-meat. A few of the earlier tracks include the Vocals of Maddie Williams and the bass work of Todd Williams. When they left the band, due to time constraints, we were left without a bass player. For live performances we have been relegated to playing along with bass tracks layed down by Zach; thus the name 'Robo-Bass Retro'. When Maddie left, The vocals and keyboard duties were taken over by Mary Len Wright.Kraig has been writing songs for decades. He was able to share his musical talents in the 80s in a band called 'US' which was based in south-eastern Idaho. The band was featured on the Discovery channel's show No Opportunity Wasted in 2003 which was hosted by Phil Keoghan. The band was able to reunite after 15 years and play a concert for their friends and families and fans.Zach has been honing his skills as a multi-instrument musician for years. He spent time in the 80s as a drummer in his own band TYO. Zach has played guitar and bass for two decades and became ready to headline Robo-Bass Retro in 2009. His ambition is to one day own a Rickenbacher 360 twelve string.Together, these two have taken their song ideas and made them into melodic, yet edgy rock songs which seem to be retro and up-to-date all at once.
