Great programming!"album bio:In the dutch music scene people have a talent for creating well-crafted Electro. With his French oriented electro sound, X-11 proves to be no exception to that rule. On his debut album “In your Facebook”, X-11 introduces 10 tracks that contain a musical wink to the past and flirts with various musical trends.You might consider to skip the opening track “About V1.1.46” after a couple of sessions, but the track does create the right atmosphere for “Electronic Ecstasy”, a very accessible floor filler. “Live Life While You Can” is driven by a catchy groove, supported by a funky guitar and frail strings. Multiple breaks build up the tension and efficiently do what they are designed for, but the track does not reach an abundant climax. Not so strange considering this track deals about the missed opportunities in life. The track breathes resignation instead of debauchery as the title might suggest.X-11 drastically changes course: from a tribute to life, to a tribute to cunnilingus. “L.L.L.” (Lickin' Lady Lover) reaches multiple climaxes using dubstep/d’n’b elements and a gross electro groove. “Popgun” elaborates the theme pretty explicitly describing yet a different form of pleasure. Or is X-11 merely referring to the ease of creating poptracks? The irresistible beat of this clearly more pop-oriented track makes hips sway and heads nod. The sensual french lyrics of “LeSexeme” are supported by a seventies “porn bass” and teasing cheesy organ. While the climax literally reaches unknown heights, there is also time for the post-coital cigarette in “Noctron”. This is a more serious open track with a dark edge. Repetitive soundbytes set a trippy atmosphere. We slowly dream away and find ourselves waking up on a beach. In “Tonight I’m gonna Be a Star”, the dreamy guitar in the verse and the grooving drums in the chorus create strong dynamics. The track ends with a great guitar solo, giving the album a touch of rock.In “Sign Of All Times” we're taken trhrough eighties hip-hop and old skool chemical beats whilst discussing serious political matters. The capstone of “In your Facebook” is a healthy piece of electronic dance. “Eeelceeteeeearow” is a bit dark and will do fine in clubs in the finest hours, when all other music has done it's work, presenting a great summary of the night.“In your Facebook” is an interesting album that will grow the more you play it. It's an excellent debut in which X-11 has found a very pleasing musical balance.
