They stepped from their worlds of rock and classical music and took their positions behind the microphone. The result is 12 American-style folk songs with an overall atmosphere of longing. Longing for water, mountains, the Cold War, gumption, the colors of Van Gogh. Longing for a better world that always lies just around the corner. I reached several high's in the process of making this album. First when I finished the songs and knew they were what I wanted them to be. Then when I played them live and they lifted me up. And again when I listened to the album and watched the artwork and realized that I could never have done this on my own. Oh yeah, there were lows as well. I'm sure there were.
