Two Dollar Ransom is based out of Bloomington, Illinois but is comprised of musicians from Texas, Louisiana, California and Illinois. Through the years we've grown up listening to and emulating various types of country, blues, gospel and red dirt music while also having influences and working on projects in classic rock, old school country and contemporary Christian. We were brought together through the love of this music and wanting to introduce it to an area that was looking for an alternative.With influences from Bruce Robison, Robert Earl Keen, Corry Morrow, Johnny Cash, Prince and others we stretch the genre by adding a little of each influence into our music. This has allowed us to reach a larger audience and present music at live shows you might not originally think would fit in. We have a couple of prolific songwriters in our group that continue to bring forth new music which is allowing our music to continue to grow. As this debut album is released we're already looking towards the next release of original music.
