Kustoo (pronounced koo-sto), has been influenced by legendary west-coast Hip-Hop groups like Ice Cube and Tha Alkoholiks, as well as east-coast favorites like Jay Z, Run DMC and Grand Daddy I.U. KU's unique style is the result of a silky, yet passion-filled voice, paired with real-life inspired lyrics. His street side is apparent, yet it is tempered with a smoothness reminiscent of L.L. Cool J. KU brings versatility to Hip-Hop. His versatility can be seen in his body of work. KU and his music are featured in the new Sony film “Walk Hard” starring John C. Reilly. He also placed three songs and co-wrote a fourth with Seth Rogan for the Paramount comedy “Drill Bit Taylor” starring Owen Wilson. In addition, KU was hired to be on set to coach/consult the actors for the films “Rap Freestyle Battle.” He has placed music in television shows such as ABC’s hit “What About Brian”, Lifetime’s “State of Mind”, “KTLA’s “One Tree Hill,” and the nationally syndicated Oprah Winfrey show.
