2 Inch Tape formed in Melbourne in 2015. Their debut album New Addiction was well supported nationwide by the community radio network. They are excited to announce their follow up album Control, due for release in the autumn of 2017. On Control 2 Inch Tape, promise to further explore the genre denying exploits displayed on New Addiction. Front man Simon Rigoni combines his song writing with the collective of talented musicians that form 2 Inch Tape to explore and deliver an indie alt rock/country prog journey.At the bands nucleus is seven, but others are known to join their live performances swelling numbers towards and occasionally beyond double figures. Traditional rock instruments are accompanied by vintage keys, strings, pedal steel, wind and brass. Together the sound leaps in dynamic from subtle acoustic to a full blown sonic wall. Never dull, always engaging, definitely a little different.
