The whole world is full of people that love to share their gifts. We live in a much better place when individuals have the guts to put that gift out there, Some people will love your gift, and some people will undeniably hate it. Throughout my life I have been in several bands where I was unsure that my gift alone would sell a record or get a body in a door. I surrounded myself with people I thought would be able to carry me. I lived this way for many years, and actually believe it or not I am so grateful for this experience. I was able to learn from many people, learn many different styles, and the influence on my music was invaluable. In a way I had taught myself that their experiences and mine had become one. This worked until people were moving away, going onto new careers leaving music behind as a thing of the past. This started a rough time for me as a creative. I was left with seemingly nothing. Nowhere to go, my habits of surrounding myself with talent had stopped me dead. Years went by. I had not created anything. I questioned if I would still be able to sit down and write a song that I could be proud of. It had been so long. After realizing I would never be able to give up my dream, I found counsel among other artists. I decided to jump 100% into a new solo venture. I was terrified. What if people don't like it. What if they point fingers and there is nobody on the other end of that finger but me.? I prepared myself to do this. I was going to get back into writing, performing my own music and not only that I was going to produce it.I decided if they love it It will be all me, and if they hate it it will be all me. But either way it will all ME. The real battle is within myself. So as I drop this first album I am confident to say I do not care if you hate this album. In my life I have never worked so hard on one thing. This is a freaking milestone for me as a creator and as an artist and as a producer. I hope you feel the excitement, doubt, worry, and pride that lies within these tracks. I hope you feel every beat. I hope that every line ties to a memory and this music can be magnified into more than just sound! Enjoy my new Album"Restless".James Shealy
