The Ladykillers of Springfield, MO, released Kiss and Tell in the spring of 2002. Driven by the power pop, songwriter Christian Knobloch was inspired by Elvis Costello, Weezer, Matthew Sweet, and U2, and Kiss and Tell reflects the influences with anthemic, melodic numbers. Recorded for free on the Missouri State University campus, Kiss and Tell is crude and sloppy at times, but it adds to the charm.
