The Bovine Fury is: John Lipfert: Guitar, Baritone Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Vocals, Keyboards. Christine Lipfert: Bass Guitar, Vocals, Keyboards. Matt Heath: Drums, Percussion, Vocals. John and Christine are a husband and wife music duo that has seen many stages together in many different bands spanning nearly two decades. Matt brings the necessary firepower to launch the Fury into full blown rock action. We have two full length albums out, Yes, Please (2015) and 11x12 (2012). The music is rock based, but with a variety of influences thrown in - our songs range from melodic with a classic sound to straight up punk, with heavy parts frequently thrown in there as well. We try to vary it up... keeps it interesting. You may remember us from such bands as Minibosses, After Any Accident, or Chief Beef. Those were good times! All we want is to keep the good times rolling.Yes, PleaseTracked December 2013 through January 2014 at John and Christine's house. Mixed over the course of several months in 2 hour sessions once per week.creditsreleased 03 April 2015 John did most of the engineering, with help from both Christine and Matt. We used ProTools 8.05 on a Windows 7 PC using a Digi003 rack and a Focusrite preamp. Our mics include various dynamic mics from Shure (SM57, Beta 56, Beta 58, Beta 52) and a few random condensers (Rode NT1 and some MXL cheapies). We borrowed a really nice Neumann for most of the vocals. Drums are a set of DWs from the 90s with a Yamaha maple snare. Zildjian A cymbals. Guitars were a PRS Custom 22, PRS Mira, 2nd gen PRS Santana SE, PRS MM Baritone and a Jazzmaster made from Warmoth, USACG and Fralin parts. These run through either or both an Egnater TOL50 and Tweaker 15 into an Egnater 4x12 cabinet with both Celestion Vintage 30 and and Eminence Wizard speakers. Bass is a Lakland USA Glaub sig model and a Fender P-bass with a USACG Neck and Fralin pickup. Bass head is a 90s Ampeg SVT-2 Pro through a 90s Ampeg 8x10. Keys are a Micro Korg XL.
