Belfrey, II.Every song that I sing and write is supported by the scriptural text of the Holy Bible. Most often composition emerges from the depths of my soul in a dream, while deep in meditation, during an experience with nature (rain, sunshine, fresh breeze, clouds, a baby's cry, chirping birds, budding flowers, etc.); or just as an outlet to express what I'm feeling at the moment. It could range from an array of feelings as a result of personal encounters in response to issues of life . My goal is that listeners will be encouraged, empowered and inspired to live their best life through relationship with God, our creator. My personal time of meditation often consists of singing to God. So every song in my recording project was first sung to God. It's a way to communicate praise to HIM, worship of HIM and to talk to HIM about 'stuff' concerning my life. It's therapeutic and comforting to know and believe that God loves me and cares about me. It is that belief that has enabled me to endure and get through those hard times presented in life. It is evident that HE likes it when I sing to HIM. According to Psalm 147:1 we should, “Praise the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.” God resides in our praises. AND, because His love is better than life, my lips shall praise HIM. (Psalm 63:3) .The best ideas come from God. The idea of presenting a tri monthly House Concert was just that. The concept for Songs in the House came out of my pure love and desire to share my gift in an intimate setting. Many people love live gospel music, however do not subscribe to the environment in which it is most often heard....church. I was impressed to open my home as a venue where great gospel music and great food, could be relished by great people. It has evolved into a spectacular neighborhood event where people hale from all across the city as well as some neighboring states. Oh what joy! Each time we meet I experience Heaven on Earth! It is truly a dream come true! When my guests share with me that the event was a life changing experience for them in some way I am confident that I am fulfilling my purpose in the Earth. The message I desire to be revealed in every song on this album series is that ...God Loves You!
