Blindhead is a New York City multi-instrumentalist who has played in several bands, including B-Star, AKA Battlestar America (a Rench Production), The Listeners, and Thunderbang! Blindhead has also done music for a handful of movies.These are the highlights from his solo electro-acoustic outings. Equal part hip-hop producer, guitarist, and composer, Blindhead cooks up a soup of underground beats, psychedelic guitar playing, middle-eastern grooves, and what he calls"Outer space horrorcore."These tracks would fit behind MF Doom, or on their own in a space vampire movie soundtrack. Blindhead plays guitar, bass, keyboards, drum kit, various hand drums and percussive items, cumbus, vietnamese moon lute, quattro, iPhone, and flute. On the production side, Blindhead handles samples, drum, and synth programming.Blindhead seeks to bridge the gap between hip-hop producer and musician, and sees no difference between playing bluegrass or finding that nugget of a sample and breakbeat for someone to rhyme on."Anything can groove" is his mantra.
